| Marinsure is an online exchange for the Marine insurance industry, conceived and constructed by KJ Coles and Amlin Interactive, both part of Amlin plc. Marinsure was launched in September 2001 to facilitate the transaction of Marine Hull and Machinery business. As Marinsure develops additional products will be introduced to create an online exchange servicing the needs of the marine insurance industry. |

| Marinsure is owned and operated by Amlin Underwriting Limited, part of Amlin plc, one of the leading insurance groups operating in the Lloyd's market. The system and site were designed and built by Amlin Interactive in conjunction with KJ Coles. Amlin Interactive is an in-house development team responsible for implementing e-business solutions including Creditinsure. |
| Who can use marinsure ? |
| Marinsure is designed to facilitate existing business practice in the Lloyd's marketplace and so only approved Lloyd's brokers and brokers operating under an umbrella arrangement with an approved Lloyd's broker are eligible to register to use the Marinsure system. |
| Who are the underwriters ? |
| The lead underwriters are KJ Coles, leading marine specialists in the Lloyd's insurance market. KJ Coles is part of Syndicate 2001 managed by Amlin Underwriting Limited. KJ Coles is one of the oldest and best known marine franchises in the Lloyd's market, providing traditional marine insurance including vessel hull and machinery, yacht insurance, energy, marine liability, cargo, specie, war and bloodstock. |
